Terms of Use

Effective October 2, 2026.

These terms are an agreement between you and Timothy White ("we", "us"), the developer of AutoCut. By using AutoCut you agree to them and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If the two conflict, these terms apply to the extent the law allows. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

1. The service

AutoCut edits videos you record or import: it removes filler words, pauses and repeated takes, and adds captions, zooms, looks and audio cleanup. Some features use AI editing, which you can turn off. AI edits can be imperfect. Review your video before you post it.

2. Your account

AI editing needs an account, created with Sign in with Apple. You're responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required where you live, to use AutoCut.

3. Your content

You own the videos you make with AutoCut. You give us only the limited permission needed to process the audio and teleprompter scripts you send for AI editing, as described in the Privacy Policy, and only for providing the service to you. We don't use your content to train AI models.

You confirm you have the rights to the videos you edit, including the consent of the people in them. Don't use AutoCut to make content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, harasses or deceives people, or impersonates someone else.

4. AutoCut Pro subscriptions

  • AutoCut Pro is offered as a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription. Prices are shown in the app, in your local currency, before you buy.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
  • A subscription renews automatically at the same price for the same period unless it's canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
  • Manage or cancel in your iPhone's Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app or your AutoCut account doesn't cancel a subscription.
  • Free trial: eligible new subscribers get a one-week free trial. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, the subscription starts and you're charged. During the trial, AI editing is limited to 15 minutes of video in total. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
  • The free plan includes a limited number of AI edits each month, 720p export and a watermark. Plan features and limits are described in the app and may change. If a change reduces what you've paid for, it will apply from your next renewal, and we'll tell you first.

5. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no reverse-engineering it, interfering with it, getting around its limits or security, or using it to make automated requests outside the app.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep AutoCut available but can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Editing and exporting work without AI editing, so your projects stay usable if the service is down. We may update, change or stop features, and will give reasonable notice before stopping a paid feature.

7. Ending these terms

You can stop using AutoCut and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms.

8. Disclaimers and liability

AutoCut is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost content. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for AutoCut in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer laws that can't be limited.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, except where the law of your country of residence requires otherwise.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app. Continuing to use AutoCut after a change means you accept it.
